Members & others, CSI Members & Friends, I want to thank the USGBC SW IN branch and ASHRAE chapter for their participation in the Feb Mtg. with nearly 60 attendees for Sustainable Roofing program. We are discussing options for a joint Golf Outing in June with these organizations as well. We are also planning a joint program with IFMA for fall to tour of the new Mead Johnson Research Facility. The Tri-State now offers professionals in the commercial constructions industry many options for staying informed with many professional organizations. CSI is hoping to work together with some of them throughout the year when topics are beneficial to all. On March 3 I attended the Louisville AIA/CSI/USGBC trade show. There were educational programs in the afternoon and over 100 vendor booths for attendees to gain valuable current information on a wide range of products and services to the design community. I am hopeful that next year we can organize a trip to Louisville for local design professionals to take advantage of this event. We are fortunate there are many construction projects underway in the Tri-State area keeping local designers, contractors and suppliers busy. I am hopeful this activity will continue as we move thru some tuff times in the US. During these times organizations like CSI are good places to network and stay current on new products and ideas.
