It’s hard to believe that my year as the president of CSI
Evansville is nearly over. At 12:00 AM on July 1 the gavel will
be passed to Jay Smith. I know Jay will do an outstanding job
for the Chapter as President. I also know that Jay will need your
continued support and attendance next year, just as you have participated
in the past year. We all know that CSI offers many opportunities
for growth while enjoying the camaraderie of other construction
industry professionals. It’s a good thing. Thank you for
your participation, guidance and assistance last year.
We’ve talked about the Great Lakes Region Conference all
year; now it’s now less than two months away. Please
plan to attend. Your participation is critical for our success
as the Host Chapter. Personally, I am looking forward
to three very special Conference events. First, this year’s
CSI Evansville golf scramble is part of the Conference and will
be at Evansville Country Club. What a great opportunity to play
one of, if not the best local course. Get your teams together.
Second, Thursday evening after the golf outing and to kick off
the Conference we’re hosting a hospitality “room”
atop the Aztar Boat. Sundown on the River is especially beautiful,
even more so in good company. Please join us for cocktails, hors
d’ouvres and fun. Third, and I’ve saved the best for
last… Friday evening in New Harmony. Cocktails at Richard
Meier’s Athenaeum and then dinner in the Granary. Great
fellowship, very good food, even dinner entertainment in a unique
setting. Should be fun that you don’t want to miss.
Best Wishes and Many Thanks for Another Very Good Year,
David Wills, CSI CDT
